MC Polling concludes with 78.60%, re-polling at certain booths of Samana, Ferozepur

The polling for the 122 Municipal Councils concluded with 78.60% of voting.Bathinda recorded the highest percentage at 87.11% while Gurdaspur and Patiala recorded the lowest percentage at 72%.

However, re-polling would take place at some places of Samana and Ferozepur. An official spokesperson said that re-polling will be held at the booth number 14 and 15 of ward 7 in Samana as EVMs were damaged here. While In Ferozepur, re-election would take place at booth numbers 31, 32 and 33 of ward 14 due to the objections raised by voters. He said the re-polling at these places would be conducted on March 8.
