The petitioners submitted that vide order dated November 23, 2012, the grade pay of the TGTs and clerks in Adarsh Schools had been enhanced from Rs 3,600 and Rs 1,950, respectively, to Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,200, respectively. However, the same was not revised for the TGTs and clerks in model schools and they still draw Rs 3,600 and Rs 1,950, respectively, as grade pay.

The petitioners argued that they cannot be discriminated against and denied the wages being paid to counterparts working in Adarsh Schools.
