One of the entry points to Chandigarh is the road coming from Mullanpur side that connects with the City Beautiful outside the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Sector 12.
The traffic on the road has gone manifolds over the years, as people settled in Khuda Lahora, Sarangpur, Dhanas and Mullanpur take this road everyday to enter the City Beautiful.
Although the road is doublelane and is wide enough to ensure a hassle-free drive when one comes from Mullanpur side, but from Khuda Lahora onwards, the road starts getting narrower owing to encroachments.
Khuda Lahora is just 2km away from PGIMER. Traffic jams have become a daily feature outside the government school, Khuda Lahora, in the morning and evening hours. There are shops on either side of the road and illegal extension of shops add to commuters’ woes.
