The case will now come up for hearing on June 9.

UT police had arrested the duo in January 2014 after the body of a 31-year-old plumber, Desh Raj, was recovered from near a dumping ground in Dhanas.

The victim, a resident of the EWS flats in Dhanas, had 35 stab marks on the stomach and neck.

According to police, Des Raj alias Ajay's body was found on the road near a jungle on the way to
the lake in Dhanas. The police said the victim was missing for the past two days.

Desh Raj was killed after he objected to the accused's advances towards his wife, police said.

As per police, on January 2, Ajay and Mukesh, along with Des Raj, had gone to Burail in a taxi where they consumed liquor. On returning, Ajay asked the taxi driver to stop the car near a dumping ground in Dhanas from where all three went for a walk, leaving behind the taxi, police claimed.
