In a letter, MLA KLThakur urged union minister of surface transport Nitin Gadkari that the authorities concerned were completing the construction of the road work without following the uniform pattern with respect to width of the road and also compromising the quality of work.

He said instead of dillydallying approach, Chikani hhad and Maha Nadi khad bridges should be reconstructed immediately, besides widening of large number of culverts.

“The quality and nature of work of the road and culverts are much below that the basic requirement of road construction as per the standards of national highway. The work is being done in a piecemeal manner unlike the high standard of work on national highways constructed in the adjoining state of Haryana and Punjab,” said the MLA.
