Nodal officer to hear complaints related to MCs

The Punjab government has appointed Anil Kumar Kansal, who is chief engineer and chief vigilance officer in its Directorate of Local Government Department, as a nodal officer to deal with the complaints related to the civic bodies.

The Punjab government has appointed Anil Kumar Kansal, who is chief engineer and chief vigilance officer in its Directorate of Local Government Department, as a nodal officer to deal with the complaints related to the civic bodies.

It includes complaints related to the Sangat Darshan programmes of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. An official spokesperson said here on Sunday that the local government secretary of Punjab had started a review process from February 18 to expedite the working of the department.

Local government department secretary Ashok Gupta said the nodal officer would deal with all the complaints related to urban development works in the department's purview.
