Amongst many first-timers was also the name of model and actor Sheryln Chopra. The Kamasutra (3D) actor attracted eyeballs with her off-white lehnga and a black transparent dress that she pulled off with a statement neckpiece. When in Chandigarh, Sheryln chooses to kick-start her conversation with her ‘Cannes experience’ saying, “The best part about Cannes was meeting Sharon Stone in person. The experience, overall, was f***ing fabulous; too good to be true, actually,” says a visibly excited Sherlyn.

And the woman she walked down the carpet with? “I like Vidya Balan’s daredevil nature, but I’m not a fan of her style statement. Being in this industry, being high on the glam quotient is very important; more so for me, as I now want to be recognised by Hollywood filmmakers.”

Her take on nudity, of course: “Even if I have gone nude for the film, I bet no woman would be embarrassed watching my character. I have presented sexuality sensibly,” and that comes from the first Indian woman to have posed naked for Playboy magazine, about which, she says, “Before the Playboy shoot, I believe I was deceiving myself, taking up projects that didn’t give me happiness. Also, I have never really understood the logic behind judging a girl’s heart and character by the number of clothes she’s wearing. Nudity is very different from vulgarity.”

Sherlyn Chopra would next be seen hosting MTV Splitsvilla Season 6.
