Over 20 students feared drowned in Beas river near Mandi

Over 20 engineering students from Hyderabad were feared drowned in Beas river at Thalot, nearly 40 kilometre from Mandi, on Sunday evening. The students were standing on the bank of the river when water level increased due to sudden release of water from the Larji Dam, which is located 2 kilometre from the spot. The water was released without any prior information.
