The Pakistan High Commission has issued visas to almost 2,000 Sikh devotees for Baisakhi. The official Twitter page of the High Commission confirmed the news.
“The Pakistan High Commission has issued visa to 1,962 Sikh yatris on the occasion of Baisakhi. The festival will be held in Pakistan from April 11 to 20,” it posted. The harvest festival of Baisakhi, which will be celebrated this year on April 14, also marks the Punjabi new year.
