Panckula man dies after jumping in front of train

A man ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train in Panchkula on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Saleem, a resident of Sector 19, Panchkula.

A man ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train in Panchkula on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Saleem, a resident of Sector 19, Panchkula.

The deceased, who was a member of the Congress local wing, allegedly left a note blaming his wife and her family for his suicide.

The railway police officials said the deceased was having a dispute with his wife and was suffering from depression. The deceased reportedly married Sagina, a resident of Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, around two years ago and they had a son on April 14. On April 24, she reportedly left Saleem and started living with her parents.

The railway police have booked Sagina, Mehraj (father-in-law), Shamim (mother-in-law) and Sartaj (brother-in-law) for abetting the suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Woman ends her life at Ramgarh

A 21-year-old woman committed suicide at her residence in Ramgarh.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot. The police said the deceased was under stress due to some issues related to her two children. The police have ruled out foul play.
