The Larji hydro power project discharge heavy water in the rainy season to de-silt the reservoirs.

Meanwhile, the district administration has issued warning for the people to stay away from the Beas river and has asked the power project authorities to use the public address system (loudspeakers) to warn the people alongside the road.

The authorities said that the reservoir was receiving nearly 15,000 cusec water daily, but even then the water level of the dam was above than the danger point.
