"The normal business of this August House (J&K Assembly) for Monday be suspended to discuss the issue of urgent public importance such as financial bungling and misappropriation and misuse in JKCA headed by Dr Farooq Abdullah," a PDP spokesman said.

"It is in this context that the party has demanded CBI probe and will press for the same to secure public money. There is a need to get the investigation conducted by CBI in the case as has happened in similar nature of allegations outside Jammu and Kashmir particularly in case of Suresh Kalmadi," he said.

An adjournment notice under Rule 56 was given to the assembly which said, "After the leaks in media about bungling misuse and misappropriation of funds and the FIR lodged against some officials by the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA ), the entire functioning of the association has become suspect in the public bringing integrity of the top brass also in question and in the instant case, that of Dr Farooq Abdullah as president of JKCA who cannot and should not evade responsibility."
