BJP legislature group leader in Haryana assembly, Anil Vij said there would not be any impact of the bypoll results on the Haryana assembly elections. “The BJP wave is rather getting stronger with every passing day in Haryana,” he said.
“While bypolls are contested on local issues, the general elections are contested to change or retain the government. The bypoll results are never a reflection of the government’s fate,” he said.
Vij said people of Haryana have made up their mind to throw out the Congress government and they have full confidence in the BJP as was evident in the Lok Sabha polls.
BJP national spokesperson and party nominee from Narnaund assembly seat, Capt Abhimanyu Sindhu said the results of bypolls will not have any bearing on Haryana assembly elections. “There is a huge anti-incumbency against the Congress in Haryana and people want a change. The BJP is the only viable alternative in the given scenario,” he said.
When asked whether the Modi magic was on wane, Capt Abhimanyu said the Modi factor was not at stake in bypolls.
“In fact, Modi factor continues in Haryana and is stronger than ever before after 100 days of superb performance of the NDA regime,” he said.
