As a domestic cooking fuel, PNG is lighter than the commonly used Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in use now and is also safe and cost-effective.

Adani Group’s Bhashist Dholakia, the director of the project said “We have started and this main pipe to the city is coming from there. Chandigarh, SAS Nagar, Nalagarh, Zirakpur and Baddi will also be connected soon.”

The move will be definitely a boon for the city residents, as they no longer will have to make bookings, or to wait for the dealer to deliver the LPG to a tap and will be metered.

Residents living in upper floors will also be spared the inconvenience of having to carry/get carried the heavy LPG cylinders to kitchens. The joint venture between IOC and Adani is a year old, but the laying of pipelines has started.
