President Dr GS Grewal said the medical college is statutorily required to implement the curriculum as notified in the statutory regulations of the university to which the medical college is affiliated and for recognition by the medical council in each medical discipline - MBBS and/or MD and/or MS and/or DM and/or MCh degree imparted in the said medical college.

The PMC president said if the said body or authorities refused to comply with any such request, the state government, acting upon a report by the council, might remove such university, college or school from the schedule or refuse to include it in the schedule.
