PNB launches prepaid ATM Debit card

Punjab National Bank today launched prepaid ATM debit cards for withdrawing money, making purchases at various shops, commercial establishments, air and rail tickets, payment of utility bills and for online Internet transactions.

Punjab National Bank today launched prepaid ATM debit cards for withdrawing money, making purchases at various shops, commercial establishments, air and rail tickets, payment of utility bills and for online Internet transactions.

The PNB Prepaid ATM Debit Card, Suvidha, stated to be the first to be launched by a nationalised bank, can be recharged at any branch of PNB in the country and is similar to like recharging a prepaid mobile connection at any place, a bank release said here.

The release said that instead of carrying cash people can procure the prepaid ATM Debit Card with a minimum of Rs 500 and maximum of Rs 50,000 recharge.

J K Gupta, General Manager, PNB, Chandigarh while launching the card said that the Prepaid Debit Card can be used at ATMs for 24x7 cash withdrawal, at POS outlets for making purchases and over the internet for e-commerce transactions and payment of utility bills etc.

The cards are valid for 6 months to 36 months, the release said adding it can be issued to PNB customers already having any account and also to Non Customers subject to their KYC compliance as per RBI directions.
