Panjab University announced the counselling /interview schedule for admissions in University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourisms (UIHMT), PU on Wednesday.
UIHMT offers education, training, research and consultancy in the field of hospitality,tourism, travel and allied sectors.
A PU spokesman stated that the counselling for BSc (tourism management) and BSc (hospitality and hotel administration) will be conducted on June19, 23 and 26 at UIHM, near Indian Council of Social Sciences Research complex, PU campus.
While there are 30 seats in BSc (tourism management) , BSc (hospitality and hotel administration) has 60 seats.
The first counseling session for qualified candidates will be held on June19. The session for candidates that fall between rank1- 50 will start at 9am on June 19 and for candidates whose rank is between 51-100, the reporting time will be 12 noon on the same day and those whose rank is above 100 should report at 3pm on June 19.
The second counseling for the vacant seats (general and reserved) will be held on June23 at 10 am while the third counselling for the remaining vacant seats (if any) will be conducted on June26.
PU spokesman said the candidates should appear personally for the counselling. They should bring all the original certificates/documents at the time of interview/counselling, attested photocopies of the certificates will also have to be deposited. “In case there is a gap in their academic year, the candidates are required to give an affidavit to the effect that they had not been involved in any offence/unlawful activities during the gap year,” added the spokesman .
