Panjab University (PU) declared the results of BA final year on Wednesday. Navroop Kaur of Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana, topped the examination by securing 2067 of total 2400 marks.
Shivangi Sood of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, and Nikita Virlley of MCM DAV
College for Women, Sector 36, Chandigarh, grabbed second and third positions,
respectively. While Shivani scored 2043 marks, Nikita got 2012 marks. Sukhchain Singh of RSD College, Ferozepur City, and Madhu Bala of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, shared fourth position by securing 1986 marks.
Harneet Kaur of MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, Chandigarh, Deepali of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Abohar, and Akriti Sharma of MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, Chandigarh, bagged fifth sixth and seventh positions by securing 1975, 1974 and 1970 marks, respectively.
Sonali of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Abohar, scored 1966 marks and stood at eighth position in the merit list.
Priyanka Gaba of Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur City, and Rupali Bhatia of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, shared ninth position by securing 1963 marks and Navreet Kaur and Shyla Prabhakar of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh, shared 10th position with 1961 marks.
Panjab University controller of examinations (CoE) Parvinder Singh said of 31,797 students, who appeared for the examination, as many as 22,003 passed the examination. This year, 69.20% students passed the examination as compared to 66.9 in 2013. The result has been uploaded on the PU website - results.puchd.ac.in
