The duration of the fellowship is five years and each fellow receives Rs 25,000 per month apart from a contingency fund of Rs 10 lakh per annum for research and other expenses. JC Bose national fellows are eligible for regular research grants through extramural funding schemes of various S&T agencies of the government of India.
Prof Kohli of botany department had also bagged prestigious fellowships of Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi, recently.
