PU team bags overall trophy in north zone inter-varsity festival

Aaghaaz, a dramatics club of DAV College, Sector 10, bagged the first prize in one-act play, 'Urubhangham'; the third prize in skit entertainment; and the overall trophy during the 30th north zone inter varsity festival.

The event was held at University of Jammu from January 14 to January 19. Competing with more than 26 universities, Aaghaaz, which represented Panjab University (PU), made it to the competition after it winning at zonal and at inter-zonal level.

The team will now represent university at All India National Youth Festival to be held in Indore from February 12 to 16.

The members of the team who will represent the university include Abhishek Gautam (president), Ishant Gandhi, Sylvester Stephen, Rama Ahuja, Divyangna, Yogesh Sahotra, Gurleen Kaur, Sukhpreet Singh and Vishal Verma.
