PU to hold entrance test for MBA

Panjab University (PU) will conduct an entrance test for 545 seats of the masters in business administration (MBA) course through its distant learning programme conducted by the University School of Open Learning (USOL).

The prospectus and application forms have been made available on the PU website-www.mbaoffcampus.puchd.ac.in

A PU spokesperson said that the price of the prospectus for general category was Rs 1,500, while the cost was Rs 750 for scheduled castes/scheduled tribes (SC/ST). The last date for submission of online applications to generate bank challan is July 16 and the last date for submission of fee in any branch of SBI is July 18. The minimum qualifying percentage in the test would be 15%, he added.

As far as distribution of seats is concerned, out of 545 seats, 45 have been reserved for NRIs, while the remaining would be available as per quota. 55.5% seats are for open category, 15% seats have been reserved for SCs, 7.5% for STs, 5% each for backward classes, sports and defence, 3% for physically handicapped and 2% each for riot victims and families of freedom fighters.

PU stated that e-admit cards would be available on the website on July 28 and would not be sent physically. The centre for entrance test will be Chandigarh.
