The Punjab education department on Wednesday gave the postings of choice to all 219 newly appointed headmasters as a Diwali bonanza, education minister Daljit Singh Cheema here said.
These headmasters, appointed under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, were handed over the appointment letters on Wednesday.

Cheema said the education department, for the first time, posted the headmasters as per their choice in a transparent online procedure, after all the vacant stations were shown to them on a big screen at the time of the issuance of appointment letters, as part of the counselling.
