Punjab chief secy asks DCs to expedite citizen-centric services

The Punjab government has issued directions to deputy commissioners to provide basic citizen-centric services to residents of Punjab at their doorstep in a time-bound and hassle-free manner.

The Punjab government has issued directions to deputy commissioners to provide basic citizen-centric services to residents of Punjab at their doorstep in a time-bound and hassle-free manner.

These include flagship e-governance projects such as e-district, state service delivery gateway, sewa kendras, human resource management system and e-office.

Punjab chief secretary Sarvesh Kaushal issued directions to all deputy commissioners to expedite the implementation of the aforesaid services.

Kaushal held a meeting with DCs and other senior officers of the department of governance reforms to review the progress of e-governance projects of the state.
