In a complaint to the Election Commission, Congress alleged that the hoardings, advertisements of SAD-BJP and pictures of Badal on ambulances were in "gross violation" of Model Code of Conduct.

The party claimed that SAD-BJP ruling alliance in Punjab has put up big hoardings and advertisements all over the state appealing to the electorate to vote for their candidates in the April 30 Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress also attached "proof" in this connection, the party said.

The EC has already issued directions to cover/remove the photographs/pictures of Badal from the state-owned ambulances.
