As urban local bodies elections of Punjab’s six municipal corporations (MC) and 123 municipal councils/nagar panchayats is set to clash with the annual school examinations across the state, the reluctant education department on Thursday decided to reschedule the “annual and board examinations” and start it at least two days after the February 25 deadline the Parkash Singh Badal government has set before the Punjab and Haryana high court to complete the poll process, government sources said.
