Punjab speaker rejigs house panels for legislative work

Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal on Thursday redesignated different committees for legislative work for the current fiscal. Jagmohan Singh Kang has been nominated as chairman of public accounts committee.

Jagmohan Singh Kang has been nominated as chairman of public accounts committee; Pargat Singh as chairman of public undertaking committee; Gurpartap Singh Wadala as chairman of estimates committee; justice Nirmal Singh (retd) as chairman of the welfare committee; Harpreet Singh as chairman of local bodies committee; Sarwan Singh Phillaur as chairman of the government assurance committee; Manoranjan Kalia as the chairman of subordinate legislation committee; SR Kaler as chairman of petition committee; Dinesh Singh as ex-officio chairman of house committee; Harchand Kaur as chair person of paper laid committee; Maheshinder Singh as the chairman of the library committee; Ashwani Kumar Sharma as chairman of question and reference committee and Deep Malhotra has been nominated as chairman of the privileges committee, according to a press communique.
