During the resumed hearing of the case on Monday, Inspector General HS Doon, informed the High Court through an affidavit that reports granting a 28 day parole to Rathore on medical grounds and for attending to personal affairs was still awaited from the DM of Panchkula.

On the other hand, Abha Rathore, SPS Rathore's wife and counsel informed the court that Rathore had already withdrawn the application seeking parole on medical grounds, while the application regarding parole on agricultural grounds stands.

Justice Ram Chand Gupta directed Doon to place on record, the respective documents in which Rathore had sought parole. While one application sought parole on agricultural grounds for 42 days as an application, the other sought parole for a period of 28 days on medical and personal grounds.

Rathore’s counsel was also directed to place on record the respective application regarding withdrawal of application by Rathore on medical grounds on the next date of hearing.

Doon also informed that Rathore had earlier, vide letter dated July 20, applied for 42 days parole on agricultural grounds, the basis of which had been contested by the DM, Panchkula. He further added that on September 6, Rathore had moved another application on the subject, which had been forwarded to DM Panchkula for consideration.

Doon also informed that since Rathore had refused to move to Government Multi Specialty Hospital(GMSH)for medical examination, arrangements had been made to get him examined by a team of doctors from GMSH-16 on October 12.

As per the medical examination report it was advised to get him examined by a Cardiologist in Post Graduate Institute(PGI) but met with Ratjore's refusal.

Rathore had been sentenced to 18-months in prison by the additional Session Judge, Chandigarh, on May 25 for molesting 14-year-old Ruchika Girhotra, a budding tennis player in August 1990.
