After two rival groups clashed in the central jail, injuring 11 inmates and four jail warders, superintendent of police B Satheesh Balan raided the complex and used force to control the situation here on Saturday evening.

During the raid, 20 mobile phones, 12 chargers and 17 SIM cards were recovered from the prisoners' possession.
After a verbal feud between two, around 40 members each of the rival groups gathered outside the barracks.
After half-an-hour clash, the injured were treated at the jail hospital.
