A proud father, Chatar Singh, who had once approached an orphanage in Sector 12A to fund his daughter’s education because he could not do so with his meager salary, said, “I am very happy with my daughter’s performance and support her in whatever she wants to do in life.” The orphanage got Preeti admitted to Manav Mangal School in Sector 11.

The student, who finds solace in singing, said she has been trying to pursue it as a career despite absence of resources.

“My family is my strength, especially my father. He wants me to study and become something big in life. I will study, but at the same time, also pursue a career in singing. With my family’s support and strength, I wish to go ahead with music as it is my passion.”

The family, trying to make both ends meet, has pinned all their hopes on Preeti, who they see excelling in every field.

“My children are my assets and nothing can replace their worth in my life. All materialistic stuff is nothing in front of them”, says the emotional father.
