With move to make last ditch effort, the three candidates organised door-to-door campaigning in SAS Nagar on Tuesday.

The district administra-tions of SAS Nagar, Rupnagar, Nawanshahr and Garhshankar assembly, which is part of Hoshiarpur district and is under Anandpur Sahib constituency, is all geared up for the elections.

Soni on Tuesday visited Naina Devi shrine to seek blessings, while Chandumajra appealed to the people to give a crushing defeat to the corrupt, inefficient, degenerated and weak Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.

Shergill too claims that, “We are sure to win the seat as people are fed up with the misrule of Congress and SAD. The response we got during the campaign was immense.”

In SAS Nagar, nearly 4 lakh voters will cast votes, including 2 lakh each of male and female voters.

Electronic voting machines (EVMs), along with other election-related material, have been dispatched for respective polling booths.

We are expecting a high turnout due immense awareness campaigns.”
