Talking to reporters here while announcing the schedule for the kabaddi World Cup to be organised by the Punjab government, the deputy chief minister said there was no comparison between Modi as the "leader of the masses" and Rahul Gandhi as the "Yuvraj of the Congress".

He dubbed the Congress as the "most corrupt party" that had completely "shattered" India. "There is so much anger in people against the Congress that it is bound to lose the assembly elections in Delhi and also in other states," Sukhbir said.

Blaming the Congress-led UPA government for the country's "deteriorating" fiscal situation, Sukhbir said inflation, corruption and unemployment in the country had gone out of hand. "Modi is the only alternative before the electorate," he added.
