Tata Safari crashes into Sector-7/26 roundabout

Four youths had a miraculous escape on Saturday night after the car, in which they were travelling, rammed into the roundabout of the dividing road of Sectors 7/26/19/27. The car overturned twice, the roundabout was also damaged.

Four youths had a miraculous escape on Saturday night after the car, in which they were travelling, rammed into the roundabout of the dividing road of Sectors 7/26/19/27. The car overturned twice, the roundabout was also damaged.

Following the mishap, the youths fled from the spot, leaving their car behind.

The occupants of the Tata Safari, bearing a Himachal Pradesh registration number HP67-0953, have been identified as Sahil, Himashu, Nikhil Sharma and Shubham.

Anokh Singh, station house officer of the Sector 26 police station, said the incident took place at about 11:30 pm on Saturday night when the car was coming from Sector 7 and heading towards Sector 26.

He said it appeared that the driver lost control of the car and rammed into the roundabout.

He said the occupants of the car were taken to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16 by their friends, who were present at the time of the incident.

He said they received first aid and left the hospital even before the police reached there.

Meanwhile, no case has been registered in the matter yet and the four youths are yet to be traced.

The car was removed from the roundabout on Sunday afternoon by the police, Anokh Singh added.
