PSEB secretary Gurinderpal Singh Baath, in a meeting on Tuesday, said, “If any school was found teaching from the books of private publishers, strict action would be taken against that school, and the board can even got to the extent of cancelling the school’s affiliation.” He warned authorities to take the issue seriously as surprise check would be conducted in the schools.

He further added that from 2015, the government approved publishers will start publishing books for classes 11 and 12, which will be available on half the rate as compared to the private publishers in the market.
