The entire school building was cleaned and floors mopped, a day after HT highlighted the sorry state of affairs at the school, where around 2,800 students are made to study in most hazardous conditions.

DPI (schools) Kamlesh Kumar, along with deputy DPI Saroj Mittal, visited the school on Saturday. Taking note of the HT report, the DPI and his deputy directed the school authorities to spruce the premises up.

The school doesn’t have a boundary wall and the area is surrounded by wild vegetation.

When the HT team revisited the school on Saturday, workers were on job to fence the school premises with a barbed wire. The contractor hired by the department said the entire area would be fenced using mash and barbed wires.

A 6-foot high mesh would isolate the temple from the school’s main building.

Students and teachers of the school were seen cleaning walls, fans and mopping floors. Students were seen carrying buckets full of water to the third floor for the job.
