The conference bought together experts on future trends and school leaders to invest in knowledge sharing and developing ideas that can be used to advance learning in the classrooms and to test the efficacy of relevant new trends.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashish Garg, board member of the UNESCO Open Knowledge Community and a strategic advisor to the ministry of human resource development, mooted for advanced learning in classrooms to students for a technology driven world.

Condemning the 'factory' method of teaching, Garg stated that communication skills should be integrated in new learning modules to empower the students. "Emphasis should be given on how a child can adopt things in a rapid changing world. Teacher should encourage students to think, intelligently and create intelligent solutions," she added.

Some of the schools were present at the event included St Kabir, St Soldiers, The Millennium School, Guru Nanak Public School, PPS, Nabha, DPS, Khanna, Pinegrove School and YPS Patiala.
