Operations at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport were partially suspended on Monday due to clouds and thunderstorm in the city.

According to the Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd spokesperson, total 22 flights - 6 international and 16 domestic - were diverted to other airports of Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
Earlier on Monday night, United Airlines from Newark to Mumbai diverted to Delhi and a GoAir flight from Delhi to Mumbai diverted to Ahmedabad were among the 11 flights that were re-routed, said a Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd spokesperson.
A Thai airways aircraft hit a guard light and a signage while vacating the runway. The debris found on the runway is being cleaned.
Meanwhile, secondary runway 14 has been opened for arrivals and departures.
