India’s biennial airshow ‘Aero India’ - which is said to be Asia's biggest airshow - is going to be held in Bengaluru between February 13 and 17, announced the Defense Ministry’s Department of Defense Production on Sunday. The airshow will be held at the Karnataka capital's Yelahanka Air Force Station. A post on Twitter by the department read, “Asia’s Biggest Air Show #AeroIndia2023 announced. Save the dates, 13th February – 17th February. The biennial airshow will be held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka (sic)". This is going to be the 14th edition of Aero India and more details about the airshow will be announced soon.

According to a report by The Hindu, the airshow will be organised by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). “From 2018, HAL has been the nodal agency which is conducting defense related shows in India. The agency has also been organizing many expo events and even air shows in the country,” an HAL source was quoted as saying by the publication. The air show will be conducted for five days, whereas the first three days are reserved by the business visitors and the general public are allowed to experience the air show in the final two days.
In 2021, the airshow was restricted to three days due to Covid restrictions. This year, the airshow is expected to see a large crowd. The official website of the aeroshow also went live, months before the event.
