Blast in south Kashmir’s Shopian town

An IED explosion occurred outside a mini secreteriat building in South Kashmir’s Shopian district at around 11.10 am on Monday.

An IED explosion occurred outside a mini secreteriat building in South Kashmir’s Shopian district at around 11.10 am on Monday.

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed was scheduled to inaugurate a mini-administrative complex in Shopian on Monday. But it was cancelled due to shutdown in Kashmir over Udhampur truck attack.

Police said that they are investigating the nature of the blast and no splinters or explosive traces have been found so far.
