Station house officer (SHO) of Sohana police station inspector Gurcharan Singh, said, “On July 7, 2020, the victim’s sister had lodged a missing complaint and on July 13, 2020, his dead body was recovered from the drain. On July 6, Kumar had left his home with Hariom. The victim’s sister suspected that the four men murdered him.”
“As per the postmortem of the deceased, he had not died due to drowning but due to severe injuries in his abdomen.
The report made it clear that it was not a suicide case, but a murder. All the accused were friends of the deceased and living at rented places in Sohana, like the victim,” the SHO said, adding that a hunt is on to arrest the accused.
