Two youths in an SUV drove off without paying for diesel worth ₹26,500 at a petrol pump in Sector 55 on Friday morning.

Vijay Kumar, who works as a customer attendant at the petrol pump, said two unidentified men visited the pump around 6.30 am in a white SUV with a Punjab registration number. The driver first asked him to fill up the tank and then also got several plastic cans filled, leading to a total bill of ₹26,500. But when it came to paying for the fuel, the duo sped away.
Police at the Sector-39 station have booked the accused under Sections 420 (cheating), 473 (making or possessing counterfeit seal, etc., with intent to commit forgery punishable otherwise) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code, and launched a probe to arrest them.
