Chandigarh: Man arrested for trespassing at Indian Air Force campus

The UT police have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly trespassing into the Indian Air Force campus area in Sector 31 on Friday evening.

Police said the accused has been identified as Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Allawalpur village (Lalpur Bhana), Hoshiarpur district, Punjab.

According to a complaint filed by Vinay Sharma, at about 7.21 pm on Friday, one person unlawfully entered into the campus area of Air Force, Sector 31. The accused was immediately detained by security personnel and handed over to the police.

A case under sections 329 (3) (criminal trespass) of the BNS has been registered at Sector 31 police station, Chandigarh. According to the police, the accused is said to be suffering from mental health issues and nothing was found from him on his personal search.
