Chandigarh: Chitkara University has enabled its student startups to showcase their ventures before industry leaders, investors, and academic experts through pitching engagements at Microsoft India and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, a release said on Tuesday.

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (GEIP) conducted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development, 24 technology startups from Chitkara University were invited to present their ventures to the startup and investment team at Microsoft’s Gurugram office. They showcased solutions across artificial intelligence, agritech, healthtech, sustainability, enterprise technology, and fashion. The founders received feedback from Microsoft’s experts on product-market fit, scalability, technology adoption, commercialisation strategies, and investment readiness.
In tandem, selected startups from the university pitched their ventures at IIM, Lucknow, engaging with faculty experts, startup mentors, and ecosystem leaders. Several of these student ventures received appreciation for their innovation quality, clarity of vision, and market potential.
The participants were felicitated by university president and co-founder Madhu Chitkara, who said: “Entrepreneurship is about transforming ideas into meaningful impact. These experiences not only validate ideas but strengthen the ability to create solutions that address real-world challenges.”
