Former chief minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday said that the results of Bihar assembly polls are not in accordance with the public support that the grand alliance had anticipated.

Interacting with reporters in Jhajjar, Hooda said that the grand alliance did not expect such an outcome.
“The Congress party will carefully analyse the reasons behind the Bihar defeat and conduct a thorough review,” he added.
Hooda said that as a responsible main opposition party in Haryana, the Congress delegation met governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh and submitted a memorandum demanding action on farmers’ losses due to heavy rains, irregularities in paddy procurement, rise in crime and corruption in ration card distribution.
He he also said that crime has steadily increased in the state and incidents of murder, kidnapping, robbery, rape, theft, and drug trafficking have become routine affair.
“Ordinary citizens are feeling unsafe. Even the union government has stated that more than 80 criminal gangs are active in Haryana and are involved in organised crime,” he added.
