Ludhiana: The Ferozepur division launched food van service at the Ludhiana Junction railway station here on Wednesday since there were no stalls in the premises outside the platform, which is a paid area and can only be accessed with a ticket. This facility has been launched in the station’s circulating area, near the unreserved ticket office, under the non-fare revenue section.

The objective of this initiative is to provide clean, quality, and affordable food to passengers within the station premises.The stalls on the platforms are not allowed to carry cylinders, but the food van will carry a cylinder and will provide hot meals at reasonable prices.

The senior divisional commercial manager Paramdeep Singh Saini, said that this facility will be especially beneficial for long-distance and waitlisted passengers. In the future, such services will be expanded to other railway stations for passenger convenience.
