The Rohtak police have busted a cyber fraud module and arrested four men for allegedly duping a local man of ₹4.28 lakh through a fake credit card limit enhancement scheme, an official said on Monday.

The police have recovered 13 mobile phones, two laptops, ₹5 lakh in cash and 15 sim cards. The police said that the accused are aged from 25 to 30 years-old and the main accused was taken on seven-day remand and three others were sent to judicial custody. Police did not reveal their names.
Cyber crime police station house officer Kuldeep Singh said that the matter came to light when a local resident Bal Kishan on August 22 received a phone call from a woman, who introduced herself as Kashish.
“She asked Bal Kishan to submit credit card details on a fake Axis Bank application to get a voucher. When he filed details, a sum of ₹3.9 lakh and later ₹38,000 were debited from his account. We have urged the people to be aware of cyber frauds and not to share any details on unknown links,” the SHO added.
