Union minister for power, housing and urban affairs Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday accused the opposition parties of “misleading public” regarding cooking gas.
The Union minister, who was in Karnal, said opposition leaders should understand that the issue related to LPG and oil is an international matter. “Despite this, the central government has ensured that people of the country do not face any problem. At such a time, opposition parties should not make it a political issue. Gas agencies in the country and the state have adequate stock of LPG. Oil and LPG are arriving in sufficient quantities from abroad,” he added.
Khattar, who chaired multiple political meetings and attended social events, also asserted that the BJP nominee for the Rajya Sabha polls, Sanjay Bhatia, would win. “All the MLAs have to vote considering their inner voice. I can’t say anything (on the results) but I’m sure the BJP candidate will register victory,” he said.
The former chief minister also said that the NDA would sweep the elections in five states. He also met Chief Minister Nayab Saini late Saturday evening, dubbing it a discussion on regular affairs.
