Headless body of woman found in Yamunanagar

According to the cops, the victim, believed to be 25 years old, had her head missing, raising fears that she was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped at the isolated location.

A headless body of a woman was found in the fields in Pratap Nagar, Yamunanagar, on Sunday, police said.

The body was spotted by a labourer near the Bahadurpur Gurudwara on the Jagadhri–Paonta Sahib Road, after which the police were informed.

According to the cops, the victim, believed to be 25 years old, had her head missing, raising fears that she was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped at the isolated location.

Pratap Nagar SHO Narsingh said that efforts were on to identify the victim.

POlice are scanning the CCTV footage from nearby petrol pumps and shops. The woman’s photograph has been circulated at nearby police stations, and missing person records are being verified,” he added.
