The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab in charge Manish Sisodia and the party’s state president and minister Aman Arora participated in a function here to mark the Hindu new year and said organising the event at a government level reflects a strong commitment to preserving and promoting cultural identity.
Sisodia said that those who misuse institutions for political gains cannot be considered true followers of Sanatan values.
The function was organised at the Ramleela Ground in Pathankot, and the event was chaired by Sanatan Hindu Sangathan national president Vijay Sharma.
Other dignitaries present were minister Lal Chand Kataruchakk and tourism and cultural affairs adviser Deepak Bali.
Kataruchakk highlighted Punjab’s long-standing tradition of communal harmony and warned against divisive ideologies, stressing the importance of unity and mutual respect. Arora underlined the role of saints in guiding society and described the New Year as an opportunity for self-reflection and adopting ethical values such as honesty and integrity.
