The blockade of the main Tawi Bridge caused a big traffic jam.Led by Yuva Rajput Sabha leader Mandeep Singh Chib, several law students staged a sit-in on the bridge and raised slogans against chief minister Omar Abdullah.

They slammed the CM for allegedly trying to set up an NLU at Budgam in Kashmir.

The students also scuffled with a strong posse of police force. As tempers ran high, police also tried to detain some of the students but the Yuva Rajput Sabha leader Mandeep Singh Chib blocked the police vehicle. Senior police had a tough time controlling the situation.
