The district traffic police seized an illegal private bus and issued a challan of ₹43,500 during a special enforcement drive. Acting on a tip-off late on March 23, officials intercepted the bus operating from Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) to Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) via village Madhawala and stopped it near Ramgarh after a brief chase. During checking, the driver failed to produce a valid route permit. Terming it a violation of the Motor Vehicles Act, police impounded the bus and said strict action will continue against such offenders.
